Pittore olandese e artista grafico. Figlio di architetto e scultore Cornelis I Bloemaert (1540–1593). Allenato a Utrecht con Joost de Beer (1515/1535–1593), 1581–1585 lavorò a Parigi e Fontainebleau con Iehan Bassot, un ‘Maistre Herri’ e Hieronymus Francken, 1585–1591 attivo a Utrecht, 1591–1593 Amsterdam, 1594–1651 Utrecht. Uno dei rappresentanti più importanti del tardo manierismo Utrecht, che più tardi, in linea con lo spirito del tempo, si voltò al barocco. Composizioni e paesaggi mitologici e religiosi dipinti.
