Niederländischer Maler und Grafiker. Sohn des Architekten und Bildhauers Cornelis I Bloemaert (1540–1593). Ausgebildet in Utrecht mit Joost de Beer (1515/1535–1593), 1581–1585 arbeitete in Paris und Fontainebleau mit Iehan Bassot, einem „Maistre Herri“ und Hieronymus Francken, 1585–1591 aktiv in Utrecht, 1591–1593 Amsterdam, 1594–1651 Utrecht. Einer der bemerkenswertesten Vertreter des verstorbenen Utrecht Mannerismus, der später, im Einklang mit dem Geist der Zeit, barock geworden ist. Malte mythologische und religiöse Figuren und Landschaften.
