“Watching an American police drama show in the early 90’s, I saw for the first time the spiked apparatus pulled across the roadway to slow a car being pursued. I imagined the snake developing the same defence. The link was further complimented, because this is the same ‘armoury’ the modern-day Indigenous person has had to develop in protection from racism, prejudice, ignorance and patronising.
