John Burroughs (1837-1921) è stato un naturalista e scrittore di fama internazionale. I suoi scritti appellarono Henry Ford, che invitò Burroughs nel 1914 per unirsi a lui e Thomas Edison per esplorare insieme le Everglades della Florida.
