En su imponente representación de la montaña Sonnblick, incluyendo una precipitada cascada y Kolm Saigurn, Loos demuestra de manera convincente la naturaleza elemental de las zonas altas alpinas y las fuerzas naturales activas dentro de ellas. La manera de Loos le muestra ser un pionero de la pintura realista del paisaje.
