Parte della serie Nasik di Trindade – composta da tre oli e cinque acquerelli – eseguita tra il 1930 e il 1932 come un notevole racconto di vita in India di tutti i giorni, Nasik Scene con Bathers trasmette i rituali e le attività quotidiane di pellegrini e locali nei dintorni dello Sri Sundar Narayan Mandir nelle rive del fiume Godavari. Qui, donne e bambini si congregono sul ghat dopo essersi immersi nell'acqua. Templi in pietra grigia e bianca foderare la riva compensare i giubbotti rossi e verdi dei bagnanti. Il ritmo irregolare delle figure in primo piano muove l'occhio dello spettatore attraverso il flusso agli archi ripetitivi del tempio dominante. Il bagno nel fiume sacro viene eseguito per purificare il corpo e l'anima prima di entrare nella terra santa e nel tempio.
