Este paisaje, la única pintura extante de Anton Mirou de 1608, recuerda la composición de uno de 1603 en la colección Harrach, Schloss Rohrau, Austria.5 Los edificios y el terreno presumiblemente están inspirados en el campo en la zona de Frankenthal. Al año siguiente – 1609 – Mirou hizo su primer dibujo de paisaje fechado en el sitio,6 abandonando el tratamiento fórmulaico del paisaje evidente aquí.La escena en primer plano es una de cohesión social con un cazador que ofrece juego a un aldeano sentado, mientras que otro es reconocido por un caballo bien nacido.Gregory Martin, 2022
