Nel luglio 1930 Arnold Schönberg e sua moglie Gertrud Kolisch si trasferirono in un appartamento nel Meran Corso Hotel a Nürnbergerplatz 3. Era il loro ultimo indirizzo a Berlino prima di emigrare negli Stati Uniti nel 1933. Una credenza è stata costruita da questo design. Schönberg in seguito ha portato i mobili con lui a Los Angeles, dove alcuni di essi sono ancora di proprietà della famiglia.
