Questo disegno per il verso ornato presenta un disegno di rami, foglie, bacche e uccelli che circondano un'iscrizione di testo a matita. L’iscrizione è una traduzione impreziosita dalle ‘Meditazioni’ 4.1 di Marco Aurelio, legge: ‘Siamo concittadini e condividiamo una cittadinanza comune e il mondo è come una città così è una nazione ma un tipo del mondo una città il suo modello e il villaggio la sua miniatura. Aurelio fu uno scrittore ammirato dalla Century Guild, il suo lavoro fu ripreso nel 1891 da Herbert Horne per un'edizione della loro pubblicazione trimestrale, The Hobby Horse.
