Great Baroque Mosque of Porto Novo built by Brazilian returnees, Agudás. The agudás, as they are known - the word derives from “help”, the Portuguese name for the city of Uidá - are part of families descended from slaves and Bahian traders established there at the height of human trafficking between the two continents.
