Il corpo di Cristo, il cosiddetto uomo di dolori, portato dagli angeli, è quasi mostrato davanti. L'angelo in primo piano contiene un cesto di strumenti di tortura (corona di spine, unghie). Sulla sinistra le tre Maria stanno andando alla tomba, che poi troveranno vuoto.
