Penitent Magdalene (auch Repentant Madalene genannt) ist ein Öl aus dem 16. Jahrhundert auf Leinwand Gemälde des italienischen Barockmalers Caravaggio. Das Gemälde porträtiert eine Buße Mary Magdalena, beugte sich in der vorzüglichen Trauer, als sie hinter ihrem unlöslichen Leben hinterlässt, ihre Trappings neben ihr aufgegeben. Zum Zeitpunkt der Fertigstellung, ca. 1594-1595, war das Gemälde unkonventionell für seinen zeitgenössischen Realismus und Abgang von der traditionellen Magdalena-Ikonographie. Es hat sowohl Kritik als auch Lob eingeladen, mit Spekulation sogar in das 21. Jahrhundert, wie Caravaggios Absichten. Die Arbeit hängt in der Doria Pamphilj Galerie in Rom.
