La résurrection de Lazare, c. 1609, dans le Museo Regionale, Messine, est une peinture de l'artiste italien Caravaggio (1571-1610). En août 1608, Caravaggio s'est enfui de Malte, où il avait été emprisonné pour un crime inconnu, et s'est réfugié en Sicile avec son ami, l'artiste Mario Minniti. À travers l'intercession de Minniti, il a acheté un certain nombre de concessions importantes, y compris celle pour l'église du Padri Crociferi à Messine, où il a été présenté par le riche marchand génois Giovanni Battista de' Lazzari le 10 juin 1609. Les frais étaient un millier de scudi, plus du double n'importe quel Caravaggio avait reçu auparavant.
