Questo è uno dei tousands di mappe stampate nella raccolta a Skokloster. Nel corso dei secoli i proprietari di Skokloster hanno acquistato e ordinato mappe per vari motivi. Questa mappa dell'assedio di Maastricht 15-30 giugno 1673 dalle truppe francesi comandate dal re Luigi XIV. Da un punto di vista militare, una prospettiva che avrebbe interessato la maggior parte dei Signori all'epoca, l'assedio di Maastricht introdusse una nuova forma di attaccare una fortezza chiamata assedio parallelo.
