Portrait d'Arnoud van Halen (1673-1732). Peintre, graveur, poète et collectionneur à Amsterdam. Fondateur du Panpoetic Batavam. A mi-chemin du cabinet où il conservait sa collection de portraits. Dans la main gauche un portrait ovale, pointant vers un dessin ou une impression. Pas d'autoportrait comme on le pensait auparavant, mais une copie du portrait de Lubienitzki de 1725, maintenant au Musée Pouchkine à Moscou. Partie d'une collection de portraits de poètes néerlandais.
