Además de sus pinturas, Leger fue un artista prolífico en muchos medios, incluyendo vitral, escultura de cerámica, y diseños de conjunto. Este es un diseño conjunto es para el ballet La Creación del Mundo, que se estrenó en París en 1923. El ballet se basa en una leyenda africana de la creación, y la interpretación artística de Leger ilustra los tres dioses del ballet, Nzame, Medere y N’kava. Según la leyenda, los dioses supervisan el desarrollo de la flora y fauna en un baile coordinado. Según el compositor del ballet, Leger nunca fue muy feliz con sus diseños, ya que quería que fueran más aterradores y menos brillantes.
