Peinture portant un cadre en bois. Une femme qui a mis son fils mort à genoux. La femme porte un long vêtement noir et un foulard blanc. Son expression faciale montre des sentiments d'angoisse et de douleur. Le jeune homme porte un pantalon court et une chemise blanche, ouverte à la poitrine et révélant des blessures sur le sternum. La composition du projet rappelle fortement l'attitude caractéristique de Pieta dans le projet
