Representa el cigarro que fuma Vicomte Ludovic-Napoléon Lepic, sus hijas y su perro, y un hombre solitario a la izquierda en la Place de la Concorde en París. Tuileries Gardens se puede ver en el fondo detrás de una pared de piedra. El Vicomte Lepic era un aristócrata, artista y flâneur. Muchos historiadores de arte creen que la gran cantidad de espacio negativo, el cultivo y la forma en que se enfrentan las figuras en direcciones aleatorias fue influenciada por la fotografía.
