Questo è uno dei due getti a grandezza naturale conosciuti di McCartan “Drinking Girl”. L'altro esempio è situato presso il Museo Hermitage e Giardini a Norfolk, Virginia. Il superbo comando di McCartan di contrapposto classico, linea raffinata, e il suo uso di dettagli ornamentali sono stati idealmente adatti al gusto contemporaneo per la scultura del giardino nei primi decenni del Novecento, e ha fatto una specialità di questo genere, concentrandosi su boschi o temi mitologici.
