der sonnenaufgang ( 1753 ) ist ein öl auf leinwand gemälde von françois boucher . diese extravaganten und wundervollen bilder zeigen apollo als gott der sonne, der tethys mit ihren nereiden und tritonen im fluss ozean zurücklässt, während er die morgensonne in seinem von vier weißen pferden gezogenen streitwagen hochfährt , und dann bei einbruch der dunkelheit zu ihr zurückkehren . Dieses bild ( 318 x 261 cm ) ist jetzt in der sammlung der wallace collection , London .
