Zurbarán написал важную серию картин для ереонитов монастыря Гвадалупе. Здесь настроение варьируется от вены реализма к видениям чудес и сцен созерцания, в которых мистицизм великого Эстремадурана художника смешивается с его цветами. Пожалуй, самым прекрасным из этих сцен является мистический Дом Назарета в Кливлендском музее.
