Polo ist aus vielen Gründen selten unter Remingtons Skulpturen. Unsere Besetzung ist eine von nur zwei Casts. Seine konische Gestalt hat keine Front. Remington kümmerte sich um die kleinste Verfeinerung in diesen gut gehaltenen Männern und ihren Ponys, bis hin zu ordentlich geknöpften Hemden und sichtbaren Blutgefäßen unter der Haut der Pferde. Auf den ersten Blick erscheint Polo elegant und raffiniert, aber wenn man sieht, wo die Aktion führt, kann das Thema Zuschauer zu einem Verständnis führen, das von ihrer ursprünglichen Meinung abweicht. Remington schuf 22 verschiedene Themen in Bronze. Polo war die zehnte Skulptur.
