WILHELMINA VON HALLWYL, yendo a MENA HOUSE HOTEL. Mena La casa era originalmente un albergue de caza, construido para Khedive, Ismail Pasha en 1869. Fue vendido a propietarios privados en los años 1880 y pronto fue reconstruido como un hotel con 80 habitaciones. El hotel abrió en 1886 y en 1890 abrió la primera piscina en Egipto. El hotel estaba justo por las pirámides y era un punto de vista perfecto para los ricos. El von Hallwyls visitó el hotel un par de veces, una vez el 13 de diciembre para desayunar después de haber visitado las pirámides.
