A: Skirt in cream silk matelasse with gold Lurex brocade in scrolling Florentine pattern; A-line; above-knee length; waistband at natural waist, edged with gold braid trim and cream grosgrain ribbon; proper left and right side back zipper closures, hook-and-eye closures at waistband; cream China silk attached slip. B: Jacket in matching cream matelasse brocade; box-shaped, single-breasted; hip-length; notched collar in aqua wool jersey, deep V-neckline; 3/4-length sleeves, turn-back wool jersey cuffs; gold braid trim edging collar, center front opening, cuffs and hem; two gold square button closure; wool jersey lining, sleeves lined in aqua China silk.
