Un senso di calma ed espressività, nonché effetti di luce sono eccezionali in questa tela , con il bellissimo elmo e pezzi di armatura in primo piano . Pensato per essere il Gattamelata's ritratto - un famoso capitano italiano ( 1370-1443 ) - l'immagine è stata attribuita all'ultima attività di giorgione , morto dentro 1510 , sebbene l'attribuzione non sia certa poiché alcuni critici la riferirono ad altri artisti come paolo morando chiamò il cavazzola . Restaurato in 1990
