L'arrivo di Anthony e il suo entourage è messo in scena come un panorama illusionistico all'interno di un quadro architettonico recintato. Mentre le vele della flotta romana possono ancora essere scorciate sullo sfondo, le figure magnificamente in costume si spostano verso il palazzo di Cleopatra nel modo di una processione trionfale.
