Il dipinto, raffigurante la Madonna seduta con il Bambino tra le braccia e gli angeli volanti, richiama l'arte del Grechetto rappresentata a Verona tra il XVII e il XVIII secolo, con i caratteristici viaggi di pastori, animali e soggetti allegorici. Il lavoro, eseguito direttamente sul rame, utilizza un linguaggio modulato in passaggi continui e vibranti da strati semitrasparenti, che permettono di vedere la lastra, flickering tocchi di colore brillante.
