Ein anonymes Mädchen im Alter von etwa drei ist neben einem hohen Stuhl posiert. Sie ist wunderschön gekleidet und trägt eine Girlande von Blumen auf ihrem Kopf, Goldketten und Armbändern und eine goldene Rassel mit Steinkristall. Die Eltern dieses Kleinkindes waren offensichtlich gut zu tun. Flinck bemalt mit den breiten, freien Pinselstrichen, die er von seinem Meister Rembrandt gelernt hatte. Aber er malte das Gesicht des Kindes in großem Detail, mit feinen Farben und feinen Lichtglimmern, so dass es zum Mittelpunkt der Aufmerksamkeit wird.
