Lais of Corinth by Hans Holbein the Younger retrata el famoso Lais de Corinth, un cortesano de la antigua Grecia que cobraba un alto precio por sus favores. Se ha sugerido que Holbein también se refiere a los Lais que era el amante de Apelles, el gran pintor de la antigüedad (Holbein fue llamado "Apelles" en círculos humanistas). El modelo, el mismo utilizado para Darmstadt Madonna de Holbein y para su Venus y Amor, ha sido identificado como Magdalena Offenburg, quien pudo haber sido la amante de Holbein.
