Questa giovane donna viene mostrata indossando un kimono dalle decorazioni gaily le cui gonne sono state soffiate sotto da una brezza autunnale. I fiori mostrati dietro la donna, un boccone giapponese e un eulalia, hanno un significato erotico nel sistema giapponese di linguaggio codificato segreto. Questo tipo di pittura ukiyo-e, mostrando scorci di carne femminile, è chiamato abuna-e . Koryusai era un artista ukiyo-e attivo nella seconda metà del XVIII secolo che era conosciuto come seguace di Suzuki Harunobu ed eccelleva in immagini di belle donne. Insolito per un artista ukiyo-e, Koryusai ottenne il rango onorario di hokkyo nel 1782. La firma di questo dipinto include il titolo hokkyo, e quindi il lavoro è pensato fino ad oggi dal 1782 o più tardi.
