Kyoto ware (Kyo-yaki) bezieht sich auf Keramik aus Kyoto. In der Vergangenheit, als Kyoto die Hauptstadt des Landes war, wurde die höchste Qualität in allen kulturellen Produkten gesucht. Kyoto war ein solches Produkt. Als Reaktion auf die Nachfrage wird es heute in Sachen Design und Vielfalt weitergehen und reagieren. Dies ist ein Werk von Ito Tozan I, der im späten 19. bis Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts einer der führenden Keramikkünstler Japans ist.
