È affiancato da apprendisti, i cui corpi riflettono la luce bianca del fuoco, e figure aggiuntive sulla destra. L'incisione e l'asciutto fu disegnata da Whistler in Bretagna, dove visitò da agosto a dicembre del 1861 e fu successivamente stampata con il
