Questo magnifico paesaggio (in perfette condizioni) raffigura un Kermis o una fiera, durante la quale un festival religioso è celebrato da una festa di strada rustica. Il soggetto era stato trattato da Pieter Bruegel il Vecchio, nella sua Danza Contabile di c.1568 come una Fiera di Vanità di follia e vizio.
