The archer has broad shoulders, narrow waist, short kilted garment and hair collected into a distinctive long braid. In his left hand he holds a short bow. Sections of the hair, neck, back and right shoulder have preserved evidence of plaster, engraving and possibly pigmentation originally added to the surface of the relief. While much of the volume of the relief has been lost through surface erosion, it is still possible to appreciate the “natural” plastic treatment of body parts achieved by combining a relatively shallow depth of carving with smooth plastering of the surfaces.
