Il bagno turco era un dipinto erotico del 1862 di Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, che mostra donne nude in un harem. Ingres non ha dipinto questo lavoro da modelli dal vivo, ma da diversi croquis e dipinti che aveva prodotto nel corso della sua carriera, riutilizzando figure 'bather' e 'odalische' (aveva prodotto in precedenza La Grande Odalisque) aveva precedentemente disegnato o dipinto come figure singole su un letto o accanto a un bagno. La figura più nota per essere stata copiata è del suo The Bather of Valpinçon, riprodotto qui quasi identicamente e formando l'elemento centrale della nuova composizione. La figura con le braccia alzate sopra la testa in primo piano, tuttavia, si basa su un croquis 1818 della moglie dell'artista Madeleine Chapelle (1782-1849), anche se la spalla destra è abbassata mentre il braccio destro è alzato (una inconsistenza anatomica usuale nell'opera di Ingres - La Grande Odalisque ha tre vertebre aggiuntive).
