Dal momento che Corot spesso ripetute composizioni e motivi, le sue opere sono difficili da raggiungere. L'immagine attuale tradisce somiglianze con il fiume Corot con una Torre Distant, anche nella collezione del Museo, che, sulla base dello stile, sembra datare ai primi anni 1860.
