Portrait of Sultan Ahmed III (1673-1736), accompanied in the open air by two servants. In the background you see trees with some buildings on the left. Perhaps this should represent the harem part of the Sultan's palace, the Topkapı Sarayı. Ahmed III carries a fur-lined kaftan and a turban called kâtibî. This type of turban was draped around a flat head cover and decorated with a fan-shaped jewelry. Also the belt of the sultan is richly occupied with jewels, as is the ceremonial staff he holds in his right hand.
