Der Name der Marquise und das Datum werden auf der Bahre eingetragen. 1744, das Jahr, das sie für Nattier saß, war sie in Paris mit François Achard Joumard Tison d"Argence (1719–1781) verheiratet, die von mehreren Familien der großen Antike in Angoulême und Périgueux abstammte. In diesem formalen, frontalen Porträt trägt der junge Sitter ein spitzes Mieder mit Spitze und Perlen getrimmt. Eine extravagante Länge taffeta-ähnlicher Stoff wird an ihrer Brust geknotet. Die Bäume, einige mit blattlosen Ästen, sind für ein Porträt in diesem relativ kleinen Format ungewöhnlich.
