Eine Bucht vor Klippen und einem Hügel. Ein Aquädukt im Hintergrund. Gørbitz zeigte in seinen frühen Jahren großes Talent und war erst sechzehn Jahre alt, als er an die Kunstakademie in Kopenhagen geschickt wurde. In der Akademie studierte er unter berühmten dänischen Malern Jens Juels und Nikolai Abildgaard. Er ist meist für seine Miniaturmalereien bekannt, verdiente aber sein Leben durch Gemälde Porträts der oberen Klasse von Christiania, heute
