This portrait of Abraham Lincoln was painted for Raymond Pitcairn in 1962 by artist John Pike, who lived and worked in Woodstock, New York. The artist owned the John Pike Watercolor School in Woodstock, near Pitcairn’s summer home on Tonche Mountain. He published his work in Life, Cosmopolitan, Readers Digest, and many other magazines.
