Dante and Beatrice (1915) is an oil painting by the English Pre-Raphaelite painter John William Waterhouse. The painting (47 × 58.5 cm) depicts from Dante's Divine Comedy. The Divine Comedy describes Dante's journey through Hell (Inferno), Purgatory (Purgatorio), and Paradise (Paradiso), guided first by the Roman poet Virgil and then by Beatrice, the subject of his love.
