Frances, hija de Peter Bold de Bold Hall, Prescot, se casó con Fleetwood Hesketh en 1759. As befitting a member of one of the best established of Lancashire families who claimed a lineage from before the Norman Conquest, her retrato is more formal than that of her husband. Los dispositivos de balaustrada y urna prestan el escenario un aire de grandeza, pero más importante es crear un sólido marco rectilineal para el diseño que se refuerza por la rectitud de la postura de la Sra.
