Marie aveva 19 anni quando aveva posato per il dipinto Chloe. Questa è la sua storia.Chloe è un'icona nazionale protetta dal National Trust and Heritage of the State of Victoria (listed 1988). Fu dipinta dal maestro francese Jules Joseph Lefebvre, considerato uno dei più grandi pittori del XIX secolo.L'opera è senza dubbio la più famosa, più vista e più amata opera d'arte straniera in Australia. Il nome Chloe viene dal greco per tenero germoglio, o bellezza in erba.
