Der Junge hat gerade sein Rohr gesenkt und sieht mit Zufriedenheit auf die Blasen, die er geflogen hat. Eine Hand hält die Seifenschale, eine Skaloppschale, die noch ein paar zitternde Blasen hält. Der Junge ist auf einer riesigen Seifenblase ausbalanciert und surft auf einer ebenso riesigen Hülle. Dieses Gefäß stellt ein surreales Element innerhalb einer ansonsten realistischen Darstellung dar und verkündet das Motiv als Allegorie. Das Motiv ist ein
