Questo fan insolitamente grande, la cui funzione è incerta, è dipinto su entrambi i lati con scene di agricoltura in inverno e in autunno. L'inverno non è mostrato.) La firma dell'artista, Isai, e due sigilli, kai e ka, si trovano su entrambi i lati. Isai fu uno dei numerosi artisti formati da Katsushika Hokusai (1760–1849), un gigante ottocentesco della stampa e della pittura. È generalmente riconosciuto che molti dei dipinti tradizionalmente attribuiti a questo grande maestro sono stati effettivamente eseguiti da alcuni dei suoi allievi, come Isai. Infatti, questo dipinto rivela molte delle idiosincrasie di Hokusai, come i tipi di figura, il modo di descrivere il fogliame, e la nettamente definita recessione nello spazio.
