In questa composizione, il bagliore del sole nascente illumina lo spazio che diventa un'importante unità simbolica a senso di significato. L'alba raggiunge e illumina le profondità più lontane e più scure del mondo, il che significa che la composizione esprime uno scenario di una battaglia tra il bene e il male: la luce entra lentamente e le tenebre si ritirano. I primi raggi di luce illuminano il grande tumulo nell'acqua. Immediatamente, i tumuli dell’acqua di Čiurlionis vengono in mente (Serenity [1904] e Sunset [1904]).
