Stampa a blocchi di legno di colore di ‘Seven lucky dei’ attribuita a Kitao Shigemasa, pubblicata da Nishimuraya Yohachi; stampata in Edo (Tokyo moderno), Giappone, durante il 1770. Immaginate insieme sulla loro nave del tesoro, i Sette Dei della Buona Fortuna del Giappone sono un'azienda auspiciosa disegnata da tradizioni diverse. La dea musicale Benzaiten, martellante Daikokuten, arrotondata Hotei e feroce re tutore Bishamonten tutti venuto in Giappone attraverso il Buddhismo. Invocato per la lunga vita, Fukurokuju e Jurōjin hanno le loro origini nel Daoismo cinese. Ebisu è identificato con le divinità della fede indigena Shintō del Giappone; spesso mostrata la pesca, qui è raffigurato con uno snapper rosso.
