Questi quattro profeti dell'Antico Testamento sono tra i capolavori di Monaco, un pittore tardo gotico fiorentino. Ogni figura detiene un attributo identificativo. Davide, in possesso di un psaltery, è considerato un antenato diretto di Cristo; Mosè detiene due tavolette dei Dieci Comandamenti con scritto pseudo-ebreo; Abramo si prepara a sacrificare il suo unico figlio Isacco, prefigurando il sacrificio di Cristo; e l'arca di Noè, oggetto della sua salvezza, è simbolicamente modellata come la chiesa. La disposizione originale e la funzione di questo gruppo rimane sconosciuta.
