Ces quatre prophètes de l'Ancien Testament sont parmi les chefs-d'œuvre de Monaco, un peintre florentin gothique majeur. Chaque figure possède un attribut identifiant. David, tenant un psaltery, est considéré comme un ancêtre direct du Christ ; Moïse détient deux tablettes des Dix Commandements avec un script pseudo-hébreu ; Abraham se prépare à sacrifier son fils unique Isaac, préfigurant le sacrifice du Christ ; et Noé arche, l'objet de son salut, est symboliquement façonné comme l'église. L'arrangement initial et la fonction de ce groupe demeurent inconnus.
