Questa pala d'altare combina l'Assunzione della Vergine con due santi, l'Arcangelo Michele che sottomette Satana e Benedetto. Fu dipinta intorno al 1493–95 per il convento Olivetano di San Michele nel nativo dell’artista Cortona. Anche se Signorelli ha progettato la pala d'altare e deve aver dipinto anche la Vergine e San Benedetto, altre parti possono essere da un assistente. Gran parte del quadro è abraso ma la Vergine e San Benedetto sono relativamente ben conservati. La cornice è del XVI secolo.
